Corruption and Development

Indonesia is one of the most corrupt country in the world. According Indonesian President, it will take at least 15 years to fully eradicate corruption in Indonesia (in APEC 2005 speech).  Best practice on anti-corruption, good governance and transparancy initiatives are being started in Aceh.

Democratically elected Aceh Governor, Irwandi Yusuf, (from Free Aceh Movement) quoted saying "By 2010 we [would] have eradicated corruption and you won't hear any more of it in Aceh. By year 2015, Aceh can be considered a prosperous piece of land, prosperous country, where justice and law is for everyone."

Any corruption by BRR, Local Officials and NGOs is best to notify the Aceh's anti corruption groups and local newspapers.
